Tour planning has reached a natural break. Theres 8 months until June 2027 and the shakedown tour is behind us. It’s the middle of October and the next five months will be frustrating. There’s a long tunnel ahead.
We’ve learnt a lot in the last month thiughand weve all made important decisions on luggage style and team equipment. Here’s in update.

I’ve just, a few minutes ago, finished watching Long Way Home, the classic round-the-world trip done by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman. They weren’t the first to do this but the story they told inspired so many to saddle up and get touring. It’s hard not to get excited about my own tour.

The side-opening luggage on the V85 TT Travel has limitations but there is a way to use them that suits long distance touring – treat them as final-destination cases. Additional soft luggage in this long-distance, 120 liter setup is aimed at getting the best out of them.
