Regarding MeeGo: I got the impression none of you have tried the available netbook release yet. It has a nice bunch of “apps”, including great connectivity to Twitter. When you run it the first time you are a few clicks away to connect, and when you have the system configured you actually boot to a notifications screen where you see tweets and other stuff immediately. So no, you don’t need to run console clients.
But if you are curious about twitter console clients, I think there are too few around if you ask me. One of the best is ttytter, and I’m pretty sure you would be able to run it on MeeGo, both on netbooks or handhelds, without ever needing to “jailbreak” the thing. Give it a try if you are curious, it’s actually quite nice.
It’s not because hacking iOS or even Android is somewhat of a taboo that more open systems are inherently “inhuman”. Ability to run a console-based twitter client does not mean you are forced to deal with that kind of thing. So, use the system a little more before judging, please. It’s not because it’s hacker-friendly that you should be scared and assume you’ll have to code your own window manager in Cobol to get something done.
Hi guys, did you change anything in the format of the latest podcast (54)?
I can’t play it anymore on my Android based HTC Desire; both the system player and BeyondPod refuse to play the mp3 file: tried to redownload 3 times but still no success…
Ops, resampled with Audacity from the original 112 to 96 kbps and now perfectly working in Android
I’ve noticed that previous podcasts (e.g. 52) were recorded at 128 kbps (and perfectly played in Android), can you keep the previous 128 kbps format for next podcasts?
Thanks
Thanks!
We’re going to keep it to 128 or 96kbps in the future. Thanks again for feedback.
