  1. What android smartbook are you using JKK?
As a college student and normal person I basically do everything on the web. Besides the browser I use a media player, skype, and Bible software (I am a religion student). I guess I’m listening to your show so I’m not quite a normal person but I want a device that will be able to fit into what I do in my life. Listen to music, take notes, read pdf’s for class, etc. I’m not interested into a luxury device I don’t need. Luxury in sense that you use it as extra. A smartbook sounds like it could maybe be a main pc for me. To me it sounds like a smartbook would be a good device. I was actually thinking in the shower that I would like a OS with a full Chrome browser and yet the availability of android apps etc.
I think maybe not these first smartbooks but the second generation of smartbooks where they iron it out and more customize the android for the bigger screen it will be better.
But then again I may not be an average american since I don’t want to buy devices I don’t need. But walking around my college campus I haven’t seen anyone with a vegetable tablet nor have I heard any of my friends say they actually want to buy it.
Also some people are getting their Viliv S10 now.

  2. In response to user accounts on the iPad: I must agree with you that it could use user accounts. However, if you would look in the Settings under “GENERAL” then “RESTRICTIONS” you can use a 4 digit security code and then turn off in app purchases and what can be done with the device. Then when it is in ur control you can turn off the restrictions.

Also, you mentioned that you cant leave the device lying around. I have a security lock set on mine (also in the settings) “AUTO-LOCK” . Plus on top of just locking the device, you can set it after too many incorrect attempts, it will erase the device so your data cannot be accessed.
