    btw, the summary of issues around the android market worries me. Google really need to clean that up, and fast.

I don’t understand how the Android Marketplace interacts with whether a vendor is a member of the Open Handset Alliance or not. jkk suggested on the podcast that because his phone came from a German company that wasn’t an OHA member that it doesn’t have the Android Marketplace on it. Yet Verizon in the US isn’t an OHA member, yet its Android phones have all the expected Android Marketplace access etc. Like the Droid or the upcoming Nexus One for Verizon. However, AT&T is not an OHA member, and has just released the Backflip, which is apparently very locked down, likely with a signed bootloader courtesy of Motorola and no access to the Android Marketplace…
